GXO is currently seeking a talented and driven Assistant Transport Manager to join us at our B&Q site in Doncaster. Here you will lead a team of shift managers, team leaders, clerks, and drivers by giving direction and monitoring performance, to ensure that the department operates efficiently and effectively in providing a quality service.
The role involves identifying and resolving operational issues, ensuring the transport department remains legally compliant, and creating excellence in customer relationship management. You will also be responsible for managing a team within a large and fast-paced transport environment.
Responsibilities:
* Identify and resolve operational issues and escalate to the Transport Manager when necessary
* Ensure the transport function is legally compliant by monitoring correct compliance processes within O-licence regulations
* Create a customer-focused approach and improve service offered
* Manage conflicting priorities, plan, and organize within a transport operation
* Use change management practices and ideologies
Requirements:
* Experience managing a team within a large and fast-paced transport environment
* Strong leadership and excellent communication skills
* International CPC desirable

This is a full-time, permanent position, where you'll be working Monday - Friday, 09:00-17:00, with some flexibility required. You'll be paid a salary of up to £45,000.00 per annum, with 33 days annual leave, and access to an onsite gym, private healthcare, and other benefits.
