Okko is a Sushi Bar and Izakaya. We have been open for 10 years, and currently run 2 successful locations in East London. We are looking for an experienced Sushi Chef to join our busy and dynamic Broadway Market Team. Already strong team and high level on the Sushi Bar. Responsibilities: Prepare and present high-quality sushi dishes, including maki, nigiri, and sashimi, adhering to traditional Japanese techniques
Ensure the freshness and quality of ingredients, maintaining the highest food safety standards
Manage inventory, including ordering and restocking supplies as needed
Collaborate with the kitchen and floor teams to provide an exceptional dining experience
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the sushi bar and preparation areas
Requirements Proven experience as a sushi chef in a fast-paced, high-level sushi bar
Excellent knife skills and deep knowledge of sushi preparation techniques
Ability to work under pressure and manage a busy section efficiently
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of hygiene & food safety
Availability to work during business hours, including weekends and evenings
