The Opportunity
We’re seeking a highly experienced Audit Manager to join the Southampton office. This is a pivotal role within a dynamic and growing audit team, offering the chance to lead client engagements, manage a diverse portfolio, and contribute to strategic initiatives across the department. This position is ideal for a senior audit professional who thrives on delivering high-quality service, mentoring teams, and building lasting client relationships. Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage audit engagements across a varied client portfolio
2. Ensure high-quality delivery and effective risk management at engagement level
3. Build strong client relationships, connecting the right team members to key stakeholders
4. Oversee resource planning and team workload, ensuring optimal performance
5. Manage billing and forecasting, negotiating overruns where necessary
6. Support team development through coaching, appraisals, and leadership
About You
7. ACA, ACCA, CA or equivalent qualified, with substantial external audit experience
8. Proven track record in managing audit engagements within a professional services environment
9. Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 102) and IFRS
10. Excellentmunication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and lead
11. Experience in business development, including proposals and networking
12. Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate teams to deliver exceptional results
