Salary: £12.21 per hour
Hours:
* Monday to Thursday: 07:00 – 16:00
* Friday: 07:00 – 13:00
We’re Hiring – Despatch Operator
Are you an experienced and proactive individual with a current FLT licence and a hands-on approach to your work?
Join our friendly and growing team in Stourport-on-Severn as a Despatch Operator, where you’ll play a key part in ensuring the smooth and accurate flow of goods leaving our site.
Key Responsibilities
* Manual handling, including packing of parts
* Checking parts and packing parcels to meet quality standards
* Greeting delivery drivers and ensuring all relevant paperwork is signed and processed correctly
* General data input (e.g., geared motor sheets, packing lists, despatch records)
* Ensuring all packing methods correspond with customer and/or transport requirements
* Prompt packing of conveyor modules from Assembly Departments to maintain production continuity
* Loading vehicles safely and efficiently
* Completing and distributing despatch documentation as required
* Following all responsibilities outlined in the company Health & Safety Policy
* Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards in the work area
* Assisting other departments when necessary to support overall operations
* Operating various types of equipment, including:
o Chop saw
o Nail gun
o Banding machines
o FLT (Counterbalance or Reach)
o Crane
What We’re Looking For
* High level of physical fitness – comfortable with manual handling
* Computer literate (Microsoft Office: Excel, Outlook, Word)
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong time management and organisational skills
* Ability to troubleshoot and adapt in a fast-paced environment
* Valid and up-to-date FLT licence (Counterbalance or Reach)
* Previous experience in a manufacturing or despatch environment preferred
