ABOUT THE ROLE
Hours of work: 37.5 hours, working on shift/rota basis 5 days a week with 2 free days, including weekends and evenings.
Salary : £12.60 per hour

Notes: This position does not offer sponsorship and is best suited for candidates already located in the Inverness and the Highland area.
Main purpose of the role:
As a Care and Support Worker, you will support people with learning disabilities living in a variety of settings, in line with agreed support and care plans, in all aspects of their everyday lives.
You will deliver practical, physical and emotional support to people with learning disabilities, whilst proactively promoting choice, independence, and self-determination.
Person Centred Support
You will:
Provide high-quality support to people with learning disabilities in line with LArche values, policies and procedures;
Support of people with learning disabilities
Assist with the personal hygiene, dress and health needs of individuals in their home;
Facilitate individuals to meet their leisure, social, practical and spiritual needs;
Encourage individuals in their ongoing development of independence;
Building an atmosphere of mutual relationships
You will:
Foster positive relationships with both assistants and people with a learning disability;
Assist in celebrations and support spiritual life so that there is an atmosphere of welcome and friendship;

About LArche Highland
We are a Community of around 130 people based in Inverness, the most northerly and fastest growing city in Scotland and the UK.
Inverness is set on the River Ness, which flows from the famous Loch Ness and it known as the Capital of the Highlands. We are lucky to be surrounded by some of the most majestic scenery in the UK and to have salmon swimming through our city centre and deer running through our gardens.
LArche Highland includes nearly fifty people with learning disabilities, who we support at home and in our workshops. Alongside them are other community members, volunteers, friends, and neighbours, all of whom play an integral role in fostering a kind and inclusive atmosphere.
