We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our Estates Technical Services (ETS) team to assist with the provision of a professional technical and operational service to Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust and all contracted partner organisations within the Estates Technical Services (ETS) function.
Main duties of the job
To manage the operational maintenance team in the effective delivery of planned and reactive maintenance of the Hospital estate. Assist with managing the operational team resource levels, technical competencies, service quality, timeliness of delivery, emergency response, individual's development, team health & wellbeing.
Responsible, in conjunction with the Senior Operations Manager, for ensuring the operational team recognises, adopts, and adheres to all Trust policies, procedures, and systems in place to manage Health and Safety and ensure a safe environment.

Person Specification
* ONC/HNC Level qualification in relevant field, or equivalent experience.
* Qualifications / specialist knowledge of building structures / engineering services.
* Practical experience of undertaking the physical Mechanical or Electrical aspects of the Operations teams' day-to-day work supported by an appropriate apprenticeship or formal training.
* The post holder must demonstrate management/supervisory experience in a large multi-service organisation and a proven successful track record delivering within timescales and budget in a relevant building services environment.
* Experience of managing and participating in an on-call rota system.
* Ability to manage conflicting demands and provide judgements and decisions over complex operational estates maintenance technical issues, considering legislation, Health & Safety, and available resources.
* Proven ability to plan, organise, and implement complex activities, including formulation, coordination, and adjustment. Ability to formulate long-term maintenance programmes and emergency contingency plans for critical services.
* Knowledge and experience at a postgraduate course equivalent level in a building, mechanical, or electrical engineering discipline.
