Overview
We're hiring an Electronics Engineer to join an established engineering team developing new products and technologies for spacecraft applications. You'll contribute across the full electronics design lifecycle - from component selection and schematic capture through simulation, test, and supporting PCB design.
What you'll be doing
* Electronic circuit design for space-focused products/technology
* Device selection and trade-off evaluation
* Schematic capture and design development
* Producing detailed design documentation
* Circuit simulation and testing/verification
* Providing engineering input into PCB design
Essential skills & experience
* 1st class degree in Electronics Engineering (or closely related) or equivalent industry experience
* Strong practical experience in electronic design
* Minimum 2 years' industrial experience
* Excellent attention to detail
* Able to work independently with limited supervision, and collaborate effectively within a team
* Strong written/verbal communication skills
* Good mathematical skills
Desirable (nice-to-have) experience
* Spacecraft electronics design exposure
* High-speed circuit design
* FPGA power supply design
* Digital signal and image processing
* Communications system design
* Integration of processing devices with high data-rate communications peripherals
* Electronic system-level design
* Designing for high reliability / high availability
