We are currently on the lookout for a Senior Program Manager to lead the Head of Versions team in Leighton Buzzard. This role is a hybrid opportunity that will require you to be on-site for minimum of 3 days a week. What you will do: This role is responsible for managing a large team of both experienced professionals and team leaders across functions, manages medium to large sized programmes or multiple small programmes. You will monitor strategic planning efforts, present progress reports and value-stream strategy, recommend solutions for programme problems, manage the P&L of programmes and multi vendors, and supports contract negotiation. Some of your responsibilities include: Lead large programmes to ensure adherence to programme plans, schedules, and budgets in an Integrated Programme Team working with Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Commercial, Finance, Quality, Aftermarket and Business Development and be the manager for the head of versions team. Manage the P&L of the programme to ensure profitability targets are met and manage multiple vendors Develop milestones, programme plans, schedules and budgets for programmes to ensure that the organisation’s objectives are met Consolidate and present plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the programme and manage value-stream strategy and progress. Monitor strategic planning efforts for and proactively drives complex programmes and support the development of new business growth strategies. Demonstrate continuous improvement initiatives to optimise efficiency and quality. Identify and react to programme problems and recommend solutions, such as allocation of resources, changing contractual specifications, and coordinating responses to customer action items. Support the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes, including coordinating preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements, operation budgets, specification and financial conditions of contracts to ensure legal compliance and to protect interests. Manage programme scope increase or decrease via change management processes. Size and Scope Information Own the execution of long-term strategy (e.g. more than 3 years) and the operational direction, typically for a business of modest size and scope or manage a team of experienced professionals Focus on tactical and operational plans with short-to-medium term focus, e.g. less than 1 – 2 years Problems faced may be difficult to moderately complete Influence others outside of won job area regarding policies, practices and procedures Experience & Qualifications we prefer: Educated to Degree level in a STEM discipline. Strong program management skills and experience ideally in a large-scale complex program/s in a matrix environment. Proven & successful career in Programme Management demonstrating a minimum of two years at a senior level.
