Our mission? Broker £1bn of deals over the next 10 years and we’re looking for a commercially minded, relationship-driven M&A Consultant to help us get there.
This is your chance to join one of the UK’s leading M&A consultancies in the IFA and wealth management sector.
You’ll work on high-impact, emotionally significant projects, shaping succession strategies and leading deals from £2mn + in valuation to successful completion.
What You’ll Be Doing
Deal Management
* Lead the entire deal process — from go-to-market strategy to managing exclusivity and exchange
* Match sellers with aligned acquirers and build real momentum through expert coordination
* Attend and facilitate buyer-seller meetings; manage all sides to a smooth close
* Lead commercial negotiations to align terms and drive win-win outcomes
Buyer Development
Build trusted relationships with strategic buyers and maintain insight into their growth plans
Run our VIP buyer programme and manage key accounts across multiple opportunities
Deliver clear, confident advice around succession, valuation, and exit strategy
Be the person clients rely on during a complex and emotional life transition
Marketing & Brand
Represent Gunner & Co. at industry events, webinars, and client-facing forums
Be a proactive ambassador for our brand and values
Support junior team members informally and contribute to our learning culture
Share insights in team sessions and continuously raise the bar
What We’re Looking For
* 6+ years in M&A, corporate finance, financial services, or consulting
* Strong relationship-builder with emotional intelligence and commercial instinct
* Experience managing end-to-end client-facing projects
* Knowledge of the IFA/wealth management space is a bonus
* Calm under pressure, structured, curious, collaborative
