Job Description
This role will lead Business Marketing in support of the D&A, FTSE Russell, and Risk Intelligence divisions.
* Acts as a strategic partner to senior leadership in the D&A, FTSE Russell and Risk Intelligence divisions, representing the full Marketing function and ensuring a fully integrated approach to driving end-to-end Marketing outcomes and balancing long-term and short-term goals and investments.
* Lead and build a high-performance team culture that demonstrates LSEG values and delivers against all goals and objectives.
* Establish credibility and build strong relationships to embed effective partnerships with key partners within the divisions; to help drive the positioning of Marketing as a key partner to the business.
* Build strong partnership with Sales & Account Management (SAM) leadership, with focus on Heads of Sales for the relevant divisions.
* Supervise and coordinate the effective planning and prioritisation process for D&A, FTSE Russell, and Risk Intelligence. Working in collaboration with the relevant specialist areas e.g., Brand & Design, Digital Marketing & Automation, Field Marketing, and Strategy, Insights and Performance teams - build a single strategic plan and take accountability for delivery with the divisional partners.
* Establish critical connection points to drive a collaborative environment and consistent approach across marketing to ensure team quality, resource capability, and capacity is in place to deliver the agreed plan.
* Work with the Group Director, Business Marketing, Markets to improve and evolve a consistent Business Marketing model and approach and lead the Business Marketing team to develop new ways of thinking and acting to support the one LSEG approach.
Key Responsibilities
* Be responsible for the creation of innovative, outcome-focused marketing strategies, providing senior partnership and optimizing marketing spend to achieve strategic goals.
* Lead and build a high-performance team dedicated to collaboration, continuous improvement, and achieving business objectives.
* Provide leadership and guidance to achieve bold long-term and short-term strategic goals.
* Prioritize high-value activities and support divisions in identifying and prioritising return on investment focused opportunities.
* Establish strong relationships within and outside the marketing function to ensure smooth information flow and request resolution.
* Facilitate monthly meetings with Divisional Leadership Teams to review plans and enable prioritization.
* Accountable for annual planning, budget allocation, and commitments from Marketing.
* Collaborate with the Marketing leadership team to agree on a single strategy and plan within the allocated budget, ensuring all resources are available to support in line with expectations.
* Coordinate planning with CAM colleagues to ensure consistency, collaboration and share standard processes.
* Agree on SLAs and performance measures.
* Embed a risk management culture through robust governance.
* Focus on team performance, career development, and coaching.
Qualifications and Skills
* 10 years'+ validated senior-level experience leading large Marketing teams within complex, global organisations, and have excellent knowledge across end-to-end B2B Marketing functions, including strategy, content and execution.
* Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
* Outstanding communication and influencing skills with ability to speak up and challenge as needed.
* Excellent relationship-building and partner management skills across a complex, matrix organisation.
* Proven track record to lead and inspire a large, high-performance team located around the world, especially within an environment of significant change.
* Experience in leading complex marketing projects and initiatives to successful delivery.
* Strong understanding of digital marketing, brand management, and marketing automation.
* Ability to balance long-term strategic goals with short-term tactical needs.
* Be a strong leader that is able to prioritise when given many priorities to oversee.
