The Role (£35,000 to £40,000 DOE)
Reporting into the Finance Director and being an integral part of the finance team, you will own the preparation of management accounts, Factory reporting & variance analysis, manage and support the Accounts Assistant and assist with Budgeting & Forecasting. You shall also ensure accurate and efficient processing of weekly and monthly payroll.
This is a crucial role in managing the business' finance and helping make informed commercial decisions.
Role Responsibilities
Support & Cover in absence, Accounts Assistant key tasks. (Sales Ledger, AP, Credit Control)
* Management of Invoice Factoring facility
* Variance analysis & discrepancies investigation
* Processing of Weekly and Monthly Payroll
* Daily, weekly & monthly Management Reporting
* Balance sheet reconciliations & supporting schedules
* Maintain & update fixed asset register
* Preparation of the monthly management accounts
* Support the finance director with the preparation of year end statutory accounts & R&D submissions
* KPI reporting
* Cash flow forecasting
* Support with budgeting & Forecasting Processes
* Ensure compliance with internal controls & company policies
* Assisting with any ad hoc tasks where required.
The Successful Applicant
· ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (preferred)
· Proven experience as a Management Accountant or in a similar role
· Strong knowledge of month-end process and ledger management principles
· Microsoft Excel Intermediate / Advanced
· Strong attention to detail
· Analytical and inquisitive by nature
· Forward thinking/proactive
· Strong interpersonal skills
· Experience with working to deadlines.
