Key Operational Responsibilities Supervise all loading and unloading of your vehicle, ensuring safe working practices at all times. Secure all loads before journeys, ensuring weight limits are not exceeded. Inspect uplifted material for damage and compliance with order requirements. Excavate and backfill tracks in accordance with client specifications. Take all necessary precautions to avoid damage to above and underground utilities. Operate plant safely and legally at all times, adhering to national speed limits. Cease operations immediately if plant becomes unsafe. Direct workers and members of the public as required while operating. Carry out routine maintenance and inspection of plant. Assist other team members as directed by the foreman-ganger or contracts manager. Ensure the vehicle is made available for servicing when recalled by the plant manager. Report immediately any defects in vehicles, small plant, tools, or equipment (including expired calibration/PAT dates). Complete all necessary job-related documentation in a timely manner. Attend team briefs as required. Essential Qualifications & Experience Valid CPCS/NPORS Dumper Driver qualification. Demonstrable experience operating dumpers in a construction/site environment. Strong awareness of health, safety, and environmental standards. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Desirable CSCS Card. Experience in excavation and reinstatement works. Knowledge of underground utility avoidance.
