Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shop Manager to oversee daily operations within our retail butchery environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Duties
* Lead and supervise the shop team, ensuring high standards of customer service and operational efficiency
* Manage sales targets and develop strategies to optimise retail performance
* Oversee merchandising activities, including stock organisation and presentation to maximise sales potential
* Coordinate staff scheduling, training programmes, and performance appraisals
* Maintain administrative records such as sales reports, inventory logs, and staff attendance
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the shop environment
* Handle customer enquiries professionally via phone or in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
* Implement promotional campaigns and organise visual displays to attract customers
* Monitor stock levels and liaise with suppliers for replenishment needs
* Foster a positive team environment through effective leadership and organisational skills
Experience
* Proven management experience within retail or similar environments, with a focus on supervising teams and driving sales management strategies
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
* Demonstrable leadership qualities with experience in team management and staff development
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in multiple languages being an advantage
* Previous experience in merchandising, administrative duties, and retail management systems is preferred
* Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
* Experience in sales management, customer service excellence, and organisational planning is highly valued
