Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Salary: Up to £25,000.00 per annum depending on experience (not pro rata)
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only

About the role
As a Cover Supervisor, your main objective is to provide high-quality teaching and learning cover across the school. You will be responsible for leading whole classes, managing challenging behaviours, and ensuring all pupils remain focused and on track to meet their lesson objectives. This role is crucial in maintaining consistency and continuity of education for the pupils, especially when teachers are absent or engaged in other school activities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Cover timetabled classes throughout the week and general absence coverage.
2. Deliver high-quality lessons and handle challenging behaviour when necessary.
3. Ensure all students are focused and on track to meet lesson objectives.
4. Prepare the classroom for lessons.
Additionally, as a staff member, you would contribute to:
1. The development, organisation, and implementation of the school’s policy for pupils’ personal and social development, including pastoral care and guidance.
2. The effective induction of pupils through baseline assessments.
3. The promotion of standards of conduct/discipline and proper regard for authority, encouraging good behaviour.
