Senior Compliance Officer
Manchester / Warrington (Birchwood) – Hybrid (4 days in office)

The Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Compliance Officer to join a collaborative and fast-paced compliance team. This is a high-impact role with clear progression into a leadership position.
You will initially join as a senior member of the team, working closely with the Head of Compliance, with the opportunity to step into a management role in the near future.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on role in a high-volume environment and is looking to develop their leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage end-to-end contractor compliance processes
* Ensure all contractors meet regulatory and client-specific requirements
* Review and maintain compliance documentation, contracts, and templates
* Act as a key point of contact for contractors, clients, and internal stakeholders
* Collaborate with recruitment, finance, and HR teams to support onboarding and contractor lifecycle processes
* Support ongoing improvements to compliance systems and processes
* Provide guidance and informal mentoring to junior team members
* Assist in organising team workflows and prioritisation
* Contribute to the development and scalability of the compliance function
About You
Essential:
* Proven experience in compliance within a recruitment environment (essential)
* Strong understanding of contractor onboarding and high-volume compliance processes
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
* Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
* Proactive, solutions-focused mindset
Desirable:
* Experience in regulated sectors (e.g. NHS, education, or similar)
* Previous experience supporting or mentoring team members
* Exposure to contract recruitment environments

* Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 (depending on experience)
