About The Role
We are looking for a strategic transformation leader to bring order to complexity, shaping which initiatives matter, where the business focuses its energy, and how change is delivered at pace. This is a rare opportunity to step into a strategic transformation role, partnering with business leaders to bring clarity, focus, and momentum to change.
Cambridge Nutritional Foods is an SME of over 100 employee‑owners undergoing a pivotal transformation from a mono‑brand, mono‑channel business to a multi‑brand, multi‑channel platform. If you are driven by impact and enjoy turning complexity into practical outcomes, this role offers the chance to shape how transformation happens across the business.
Please note this role is not a system/software focused role or environment.
It provides oversight, governance and change management to all projects, both commercial and operational, across the business. This could include, but is not limited to, launching new nutritional food products, Target Operating Model, Business Process Improvement, People and Culture Transformation.
Location: Corby, Northants (Hybrid – 3 days at our Corby HQ)
Role Type: 9-12 Months maternity cover, Full Time
What will I be doing?
This is a broad, influential role with three core areas of focus: prioritisation & governance, delivery, and enablement.
Firstly, you’ll act as a central point of coordination and gatekeeping for transformation and project activity across the business. You’ll help assess ideas and initiatives against strategic fit, impact, urgency and capacity, supporting leaders to make informed decisions about what should be delivered now, what can wait, and what may not be the right priority at all.
Alongside this, you’ll continue to evolve a consistent and practical project management framework (PMO-style) for the business. This will include pipelining, prioritisation criteria, templates, governance, risk management and best practice that can be embedded and used by colleagues across the organisation.
Secondly, and the main focus of the role, you’ll lead and coordinate a portfolio of high‑impact commercial and transformation initiatives. These projects may span new brands, products, channels, culture and new ways of working. You’ll take ideas from concept through to delivery, balancing pace with realism, and ensuring outcomes feel embedded into BAU rather than bolted on.
You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, acting as a trusted partner who brings structure, challenge and momentum.
Additionally, you will:
* Engage and assemble cross‑functional project teams
* Balance resources, budgets and timelines across multiple initiatives
* Keep stakeholders aligned through clear, pragmatic communication
* Work closely with the wider People & Transformation team to ensure that people understand what’s changing and what’s expected of them, and that capability and skills are in place to deliver change successfully
* Identify risks early, including delivery risks and people, capacity and change fatigue
* Maintain clear, proportionate project documentation and reporting
Am I the right person for this role?
You don’t have to come from a pure PM background. We’re open to experienced Transformation Project Managers or PMO Leads that have been commercially facing, Transformation Leads or Change professionals who enjoy working at the intersection of strategy, delivery and people.
You’ll bring a track record of delivering business wide/transformational initiatives that add commercial or strategic value, along with experience of working in transformation, scale‑up or evolving environments where structure is still being shaped, ideally within SMEs.
You will also bring:
* Confidence working with senior leaders to influence priorities and decisions
* The ability to balance pace with practicality, and ambition with capacity
* A full understanding and demonstrable experience of utilising best practice PM methodologies
* Experience of effective use of project management systems or software solutions
* Excellent planning and organisational skills
* The ability to understand long‑term business strategy and deliver to achieve desired change and/or benefit realisation
* Pro‑activeness and the ability to effectively manage priorities and workload accordingly
