RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE COMMERCIAL MANAGER You will work independently and part of a larger team by drawing on your commercial experience to drive performance and manage setbacks. You will be able to prioritise and manage your own workload to deliver to deadlines, mitigate and escalate any emerging risks and to respond swiftly to changing operational demands. Pre-market Engagement Providing expertise to Defence Digital project delivery teams to influence and inform the sourcing of new goods and services from 3rd parties in accordance with digital category strategies Proactive market insight which includes a coordinated monitoring of potential and existing suppliers in a strategic and dynamic way Sourcing Define and run Procurement processes in line with public sector regulations and using agreed tools and systems Selecting appropriate suppliers using relevant evaluation criteria and responsible for ensuring value for money for the duration of supplier engagement Negotiating favourable terms for pricing and contract terms that deliver immediate and ongoing financial and non-financial benefits Ability to analyse, interpret and draft contractual wording with a strong attention to detail Hold formal delegated powers of up to £10M.
