Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our primary school team, providing 1:1 support for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), particularly Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a child's educational journey.
Key Responsibilities
* Work closely with the class teacher and follow guidance from the specialist teacher to implement tailored strategies.
* Provide individualised support to pupils with SEND, ensuring their academic, social, and emotional needs are met.
* Collaborate with outside agencies and professionals to deliver consistent and effective support.
* Assist in creating an inclusive classroom environment where every child can thrive.
* Support pupils in developing independence, communication, and social interaction skills.
* Establish supportive and constructive relationships with children, staff and parents

Essential Qualifications
* Maths and English GCSE Grade 4 or equivalent
Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification or similar (or at least be working towards)
Desirable Qualifications
First Aid qualification
Essential Experience
* Working in a primary school environment
Understanding of SEND, particularly ASD, and strategies to support learning and development.
Desirable Experience
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Patience, empathy, and a commitment to promoting positive outcomes for all pupils.
