Job Description
With offices in County Antrim and Fermanagh, our client is a well established engineering business currently seeking a Plant Maintenance Supervisor to join their growing team.
The post holder will work as part of a team, coordinating the maintenance and repair of all plant. The role involves daily communications with plant maintenance providers as well as Site & Factory managers.
The successful candidate can be based in either the Co Fermanagh or Co Antrim office, training will be provided on company specific systems.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensure preventative & reactive plant maintenance is coordinated to best suit the work pattern across multiple sites
2. Authorisation of monthly plant repair costs including damage charges from external companies
3. Provide guidance to the support staff tasked with generating the maintenance records and purchase orders for repairs.
4. Quarterly review of plant profitability, utilisation, supplier performance, highlighting any concerns.
5. Provide reports as necessary to senior management as we strive to bring about a refresh plan and actively seek to reduce repair cost.
6. Assist with the purchase and disposal of plant
7. Forge relationships across multiple factories (some travel required) and build knowledge of operations and provide confidence to those tasked with operating the plant.
Criteria:
8. Previous construction or plant hire industry experience
9. Strong communication skills with the ability to prioritise workload
10. Ability to work as part of a team and also take the lead as necessary
11. Experience of various IT systems, including Microsoft excel
Desirable:
12. Knowledge of LOLER regulations
13. Previous management experience
Salary is in the region of £26-34k dependant upon experience.
