We are looking for a Service Charge Accountant to join our clients successful and growing property management company. As a Service Charge Accountant, you will be a key member of the Finance team and be responsible for co-ordinating the production of budgets, year-end accounts and reports. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES To respond to phone calls, emails regarding supplier invoices and service charge queries. Database management To assist with general office administration telephone cover etc To register invoices to the property management database Liaison with Property Managers Arrears administration Preparation of annual budget templates Assisting with the preparation of annual service charge accounts Liaison with auditors Producing periodic service charge & ground rent invoices Supplier Liaison To help prepare Property Management reports for clients and internal meetings. To attend regular monthly staff and inter-departmental meetings. To attend training courses where appropriate. PERSON SPECIFICATION Experience in a Service Charge environment preferred but not essential Good written and verbal communication skills Confidence in use of Microsoft packages A good level of numeracy Ability to plan and manage priorities Ability to respond quickly, effectively and flexibly Able to work within a team and on own initiative Experience of working in a Property Management/Lettings environment (not essential)
