Management Accountant
Location – Manchester
Salary – up to £45,000
About the company:
A well-established and growing SME business based in Manchester. You’ll be working closely with the Managing Director in a broad role, producing management accounts, providing commercial recommendations through various forms of analyses, and more.
Responsibilities include:
* Reporting directly to the Managing Director, maintaining the financial controls in the business, alongside production of monthly management and year end accounts.
* Develop, implement, and monitor financial plans, budgets, and forecasts.
* Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
* Collaborate with department heads to create and manage departmental budgets.
* Monitor budget variances and provide recommendations for cost control.
* Present financial information to management, providing insights and recommendations.
* Manage cash flow and liquidity, ensuring optimal working capital.
* Forecast and address potential cash flow issues.
Skills/Qualifications required:
* Previous experience preparing management accounts
* Commercial mindset, capable to contribute to strategic financial decision-making
* CIMA/ACCA/ACA part-qualified or qualified, AAT qualified / QBE also considered with suitable SME experience
* Good communication skills
* Good time-management and organisational skills
* Good Excel skills
