JOB TITLE: Sales Manager
SITE LOCATION: Northeast and Scotland
REPORTS TO: Sales Director
Job Purpose:
Key Result Areas
Ensuring you achieve customer account target each qtr. Prepare, manage and implement a personal sales strategy in line with the company’s annual sales objective, for the development of the customer and product base.
Assume responsibility for your customers, resolving day to day problems.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Identify, prospect and meet potential new clients leveraging existing and new contacts at the appropriate levels and turn this into increased business.
2. To increase sales turnover to National and Regional housebuilders, as well as via our GRP Aspects brand to Builders Merchants and Distributors, across a range of products.
3. Identify trends and ideas by researching industry and related events, publications and announcements.
4. Plan sales approaches and pitches, understanding client needs, concerns and objectives. Present to and consult with the management team on business trends with a view to developing profitable new business.
5. Participate in pricing solutions and services for clients which reflect established margin expectations.
6. Attend industry functions, events and conferences and provide feedback and information on market trends.
7. Act on new business leads promptly and provide a weekly progress report on development, provide a monthly management report using the template provide by the Divisional Sales Manager.
8. Provide sales forecasts and regular update opportunities.
9. Provide a weekly plan of activity.
10. Prepare a monthly report on activity and sales performance
11. Liaise effectively and build strong relationships with customer services, marketing, commercial, group businesses, transport and all line management to ensure effective and positive team work is achieved.
12. Always maintain a clean and professional image, protecting the company’s property, interest and viewpoints.

Key Experiences:
20. Experience within a Senior Sales, Sales Manager and or Business Development Manager position is essential
21. Experience in the Trade and retail sector
22. Must be results driven and can demonstrate success
23. Delivers and exceeds targets
24. Can build and develop effective relationships
25. A good Industry insight and knowledge of market trends and future development
