We are seeking an experienced Sales Administrator to join our expanding distribution business in Barnstaple. Due to relocation to new purpose-built facilities in South Molton in Autumn 2025, driving is required.
You will be part of a friendly team of 7, managing around 20 long-standing customer accounts and their projects. Our support includes design, specification, and market-leading products for renewable heating systems. The role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing quotations, processing orders, coordinating with departments, and ensuring smooth project execution.
Key responsibilities include:
* Building relationships with new and existing customers.
* Gathering project briefs from clients and coordinating heat calculations, underfloor heating, and MVHR designs with specialists.
* Producing proposals and quotes for clients.
* Processing sales orders in Sage.
* Coordinating material deliveries with logistics.
* Communicating with suppliers and logistics to ensure timely delivery and client updates.
* Responding to customer inquiries about stock, progress, and pricing.
* Managing returns policies with purchasing to resolve client issues promptly.
* Maintaining accurate records on our CRM system.
* Performing general office administration, including database updates, filing, answering phones, and scheduling meetings.
* Representing the company at tradeshows and liaising with other businesses and potential clients.
* Supporting B2B sales campaigns via email and telephony.
* Assisting with LinkedIn content and engagement.
The primary focus is building and maintaining relationships with assigned customers, keeping them informed about their projects, and accurately processing orders.
Ideal candidates will have:
* Experience in customer service or account management roles.
* Knowledge of heating systems and/or renewables (advantageous).
* A cheerful and friendly demeanor.
* Strong relationship-building skills.
* A proactive attitude.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
