Job Title: Nursery Deputy Manager
Location: Borehamwood
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
About The Role
A well-regarded nursery setting in Borehamwood is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Deputy Manager to support the daily running of the nursery and help lead a passionate team. This role is ideal for a senior practitioner or room leader ready to step up into a leadership position, or an experienced deputy looking for a fresh opportunity in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Nursery Manager in all aspects of nursery operations
* Take responsibility for the nursery in the Manager's absence
* Ensure the delivery of a high standard of learning, development and care for children
* Promote and support safeguarding and wellbeing throughout the nursery
* Help lead, motivate and mentor a team of early years professionals
* Maintain excellent communication with parents, staff and external agencies
* Support with planning, assessments and implementing the EYFS framework
Requirements
* Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years (Level 5 desirable)
* Previous experience in a supervisory or senior practitioner role
* Sound knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding procedures
* Strong leadership, organisational and interpersonal skills
* A nurturing, positive attitude with a commitment to children's development
