Housing and Technical Resources seek to recruit a Repairs Assistant to join the Repairs Team based within Hamilton Business Unit.
Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary: £24,325 - £27,391 per year
Vacancy: Fixed term for 6 months

Responsibilities
* You will be required to effectively diagnose, order and instruct repair requests in accordance with Council\'s policies, standards and targets.
* Demonstrate effective communication skills and display IT skills, especially in Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Provide excellent customer service and manage complex customer enquiries by telephone where applicable.
* Prioritise your own workload, respond to changing priorities and contribute effectively to team goals and projects.
* When completing the application process ensure you cover the following areas: evidence of experience and achievements in the five specific behaviours framework (Efficient, Flexible, Leading, Working with Others and Performing).
Qualifications and requirements
* Experience in repair coordination and/noting policies, standards and targets as applicable to council services.
* Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to changing priorities.
* Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Word and Excel).
* Evidence of strong customer service skills and ability to handle enquiries.
* Eligibility to work and ability to provide any required supporting documents or checks as specified (see notes on Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and foreign police checks).
