Overview
The NHS needs you now more than ever. Would you like to do a job that makes a difference every day, using your skills, experience, and compassion to help women with their mental health in the perinatal period? Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is passionate about promoting good mental health and wellbeing. Our Specialist Perinatal Mental Health team has been growing over the past 9 years to provide a holistic and multidisciplinary approach to caring for women experiencing mental health difficulties during the perinatal period. The service received accreditation in January 2024. We are a county‑wide service with a base currently in Truro, and due to expansion we are seeking an additional base in the east of the county. The team consists of qualified and trainee nurses, occupational therapists, social workers, nursery nurses, a health visitor, psychologists, psychiatrist, administration, and peer support workers led by a dedicated service lead, supported by two deputies. The team works collaboratively to support recovery and improve bonds with baby in the crucial first 1001 days.
This is a community‑based role that requires frequent travel to various locations throughout the county including areas that may not be accessible by public transportation. Successful candidates will need to demonstrate how they will manage these travel requirements.
