Summary:
Hays are exclusively partnered with an SME manufacturing business that's been operating for over 50 years to recruit a motivated Procurement Manager to join their small but mighty team. You can expect to be leading on all procurements of parts andponents, ensuring a cost-effective, quality approach is taken to raw material sourcing and be working with international suppliers and stakeholders to navigate the ever-changing supply chain.
This role will be based on-site in Calne, offering a salary of up to £50,000 with a 20% bonus.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead on negotiating pricing, lead times and payment / contract terms with domestic and international suppliers
2. Manage the end-to-end procurements of raw materials, parts andponents.
3. Run weekly MRP reports to determine stock levels and appropriate replenishment
4. Manage supplier relationships across China & Europe to ensure contractual performance via KPIs on quality, cost and delivery.
5. Implement supply chain risk mitigation strategies
6. Ensure sourcing practices meet import regulations and ethical sourcing practices
7. Utilise SAP to raise purchase orders
8. Stay close to market trends, material cost increases
9. Collaborate with the Production and Sales team to ensure the availability of inventory
10. Work closely with the Finance team for budget and spending reviews, along with supplier payments
Key Skills & Experience:
11. Proven experience in a Procurement or Supply Chain role within a manufacturing / engineering environment (circa 5 years+)
12. Strong negotiation and influencing skills
13. CIPS qualifications would be desirable, but relevant experience will be accepted
14. IT Proficiency in ERP / MRP systems, ideally SAP, along with the MS Suite.
15. Confidentmunication abilities,fortable working with international and domestic suppliers as well as internal stakeholders
