The Role
The firm is looking to recruit a part-qualified through to junior qualified Patent Attorney to join its Chemistry practice.
The team handles a varied mix of prosecution and contentious matters across a range of chemical subject areas. You will gain exposure to complex, high-value work and have the opportunity to get involved in more technical and strategic matters as your experience develops.

Key Responsibilities
* Drafting and prosecuting UK, European and international patent applications
* Managing a varied caseload across chemistry-related technologies
* Supporting contentious matters, including oppositions and appeals
* Assisting with multi-jurisdictional matters where required
* Working closely with colleagues to deliver commercially focused advice to clients
* Contributing to the development of client relationships
Requirements
* Part-qualified UK and/or EQE through to circa 3 years’ PQE
* Background in Chemistry or a related discipline
* Experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications
* Exposure to EPO work would be beneficial
* Strong academic background
* Commercial awareness and strong attention to detail
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* A collaborative and proactive approach
