Responsibilities
* Perform and report adult trans‑thoracic echocardiograms in line with BSE minimum data set and local reporting guidelines.
* Provide expert clinical guidance via the second‑opinion rota, ensuring adherence to reporting guidelines during peer review.
* Conduct quality assurance checks on equipment and take appropriate action.
* Submit reports and archive study images in accordance with contractual requirements and local SOPs.
* Liaise with relevant hospital departments and GP practices for urgent clinical referrals.
* Support patient bookings, ensuring patient information systems are maintained.
About you
* Experience performing and reporting adult transthoracic echocardiograms to BSE standards.
* Hold BSE (or equivalent) registration.
* A full UK driving licence.
* Full understanding of the Data Protection Act, Information Governance Statement of Compliance and Caldicott Principles.
* Willingness to embrace new thinking and new technologies.
* Evidence of continuing professional development.
Additional requirements
* Current UK professional registration.
* Subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975; Disclosure and Barring Service check required.
