We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic full-time Senior Supervising Social Worker to join our supportive and friendly team to develop and promote fostering services in the Yorks & Lincs area.The team office is based in Melton, and we support a hybrid model of working with flexibility to work from home. At FCA, we're committed to supporting every child and foster parent every day.Duties Will IncludeSupporting foster parents and their families to achieve outstanding outcomes for all children and young people in foster careSupervising, supporting and monitoring the continued suitability and competence of foster parents, ensuring they provide a safe, healthy, nurturing and learning environmentEnsuring carers fully understand the fostering task, competencies to be achieved and the standards expected, including complaints and representation procedures in line with FCA policies and proceduresProviding and recording regular supervision to allocated foster parents in line with FCA's Operational StandardsWorking in partnership using a team parenting approach to identify needs within the foster family (e.g. respite, activities, therapy, holidays), contributing to meetings and agreed actionsEnsuring records for each child and foster parent are fully compliant with all key documentation requirementsAttending meetings and/or providing reports for commissioning teams regarding individual care packagesPromoting participation of children and young people in the development of the agency and in accessing resources and opportunities in their local communityParticipating in an out-of-hours support service on a rota basisUndertaking occasional initial home visits and Form F assessmentsYou Must HaveA Social Work qualificationProfessional registration with Social Work England or equivalentProven ability to produce a high standard of report writingA comprehensive working knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding proceduresThe willingness and ability to travel extensively across the Yorkshire/Humberside/Lincs areaConfidence transporting children and young people in potentially challenging situationsA full UK driving licenceFor an informal discussion about this role, please contact Laura Rawlings, Fostering Service Manager, on (phone number removed).We would love to hear from you.
