We're looking to recruit a proactive Tenancy Officer in Liverpool to support our social housing client on a temporary contract until December 2025. This is a full-time role, working 37 hours per week, office-based.
You'll be responsible for handling a range of housing processes, from tenancy changes and mutual exchanges to succession claims and permission requests. You'll be a go-to-person for resolving queries, supporting colleagues, and ensuring customers receive a responsive and respectful service.
Key responsibilities:
* Handle tenancy updates including name changes, household amendments and assignments
* Manage mutual exchange applications and liaise with relevant teams
* Respond sensitively to bereavement-related enquiries and succession claims
* Review and process tenant permission requests, and oversee garage lettings across the organisation
* Triage and respond to complaints submitted via digital channels
What you'll need to succeed
* A confident decision maker with a good knowledge of housing policies and procedures, and experience in a housing or tenancy management role
* A strong communicator who can be tactful and diffuse situations, or manage potentially conflicting scenarios
* Ability to work under pressure and can adapt quickly to changing priorities
* Basic DBS check
