Your new role
Think Customer
1. Working within our Lincoln House Site, you will ensure that trailers of furniture are moved between locations in a safe and professional manner
2. Always working in a safe and professional manner, you will ensure that there is no damage to the furniture whilst it is of your responsibility.
3. Ensuring full fleet capacity by ensuring vehicles and trailers are presented to workshops on time for PMI/MOT
Aim High
4. Work with the warehouse and transport teams to ensure that equipment is presented for loading, unloading and parked for onward delivery in a safe and timely manner
5. Ensure SoDelCo/DFS and third party hauliers on site are compliant with site rules, parking in designated areas and correct PPE.
6. Represent values and those of our brand partners in everything that you do
7. Work with your team and senior managers to provide feedback and continually improve the standards of service we offer
8. Carry out daily inspections of allocated vehicle and equipment, informing the line manager of any defects and/or damage immediately
9. Comply with all driving laws as defined by the government and all company policies and procedures
10. Fully understand and adhere to the rules and regulations of driving hours, tachograph and the road transport directive
11. Ensure that any damages to your vehicle, customer property, or furniture is reported your manager as soon as possible, following the correct reporting processes
12. Work in line with The Groups policies and procedure
This role is for you if:
13. Uphold brilliant standards of personal presentation every day
14. Professional conduct at all times when representing the Company to its customers
15. Physically able to complete the requirements of the role
16. Able to manage and organise a busy transport yard
17. Strong communication skills
18. Experience of working as part of a strong, well-functioning team
19. Able to correctly operate a tachograph with a full understanding of UK Transport Law
20. A knowledge of daily vehicle maintenance
21. Hold a UK Driving license with HGV Entitlement - Class 1 HGV Driver entitlement / C+E licence
22. No more than 6 points on your license with no major endorsements
23. Valid Digital tachograph card
24. Tachograph and RTD management to be accurate
25. CPC Card
