Learning Support Assistant in Fareham
Contract - Part Time and Full Time
Start date – January 2026
We are looking for a dedicated, resourceful and dynamic Learning Support Assistant to join one of our welcoming and inclusive schools Fareham. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children’s learning, development and overall wellbeing with a supportive, community-focused setting.
About the LSA position:
* Experience supporting children in a school or similar educational environment.
* A patient, positive, and empathetic approach to behaviour and learning.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with pupils and staff.
* Flexibility to adapt to a range of learning needs and classroom situations.
* Reliability, enthusiasm, and a proactive attitude toward supporting all learners.
* A relevant qualification such as Level 2 or Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (desirable but not essential).
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small-group support, including for pupils with additional or special educational needs.
* Assist teachers in delivering engaging, inclusive lessons that help pupils make progress and build confidence.
* Help prepare classroom resources and maintain a positive, stimulating learning environment.
* Support pupils’ wellbeing, independence, and positive behaviour.
* Work collaboratively with the school team to ensure a safe, caring, and inspiring experience for every child.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
