The Opportunity
An opportunity for an experienced Planner (or someone with an engineering or site/project management background looking to move into planning) to join a delivery-focused civil engineering environment working on complex infrastructure projects.
This role is suited to someone who understands how work actually happens on site, can build realistic and contractually compliant programmes, and is comfortable working under NEC3 / NEC4 contracts.
You’ll play a key role in supporting project teams, commercial teams, and clients with clear, accurate programmes and honest forecasting.
The Role

Developing and managing construction programmes that are realistic, achievable, and contractually compliant
*
Producing and maintaining NEC3 / NEC4 programmes for submission and acceptance
*
Updating programmes in line with contractual requirements and project progress
*
Monitoring site progress, identifying delays, and supporting mitigation strategies
*
Reviewing compensation events and variations, producing robust programme evidence
*
Supporting commercial teams with programme-related input into cost and resource planning
*
Providing clear progress updates and forecasts to site teams, management, and clients
*
Developing tender programmes and supporting pre-construction activities
*
Working between the Bridgend office and live sites across the UK
*
Supporting and mentoring junior planners as part of a collaborative planning team
About You
This role would suit someone who:

Has experience as a Planner, or comes from an engineering or site/project management background
*
Understands construction sequencing and site constraints
*
Has a good working knowledge of NEC contracts (desirable)
*
Is confident engaging with site teams, commercial teams, and clients
*
Takes a proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem-solving
Key Requirements
*
Experience within civil engineering or infrastructure projects
*
Understanding of construction programming and progress monitoring
*
ASTA Powerproject experience desirable but not essential
*
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
*
Willingness to travel between office and sites as required
