Accounts Assistant / Purchase LedgerTemp to Perm | Leigh (Wigan area) £14.00 per hour | Immediate StartPRS are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant / Purchase Ledger Administrator to join a busy and friendly finance team on a temp-to-perm basis, based in Leigh.This is a great opportunity for someone with purchase ledger experience who is looking for stability, progression, and the chance to secure a permanent role.Hours of Work Monday to Thursday: 8:30am – 5:00pm Friday: 8:30am – 4:30pmKey Responsibilities General maintenance of the Purchase Ledger, including setting up supplier accounts Matching invoices daily to GRNs, worksheets, and purchase orders Daily posting of invoices and credit notes onto Coins Daily and monthly supplier statement reconciliations Processing and issuing procurement orders Ensuring supplier payments are processed accurately and on time via BACS Handling supplier queries promptly and professionally Managing legal notices within required timeframes Liaising with Contract Managers to ensure timely invoice approvals Supporting daily post distribution for Finance and Operations teams Filing and archiving documentation in line with company proceduresAbout You Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or Purchase Ledger role Good working knowledge of basic bookkeeping Understanding of the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) Confident using MS Excel and Word Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced environmentWhat’s in It for You?
