Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Materials Planning Teams are responsible for the plans, schedules, and monitoring of the movement of material through the production cycle. They determine quantity and order date for materials to meet production or engineering schedules, initiate purchase or production requisitions compliant with supply agreements, and develop the schedule to be used in the production facility based on forecasts and historical analysis. This Administrator role supports the planning team in Hastings. It is an ideal stepping stone for someone eager to build knowledge around the planning function with a view to advancing into supply chain roles in the future. The role involves supporting the planners and schedulers with administrative tasks as detailed below.
Job Responsibilities
Production Order releasing
* Ensuring that production packs are stapled together and include necessary drawings
* Managing Backshell Assembly drawings
* Releasing orders in line with schedule for monthly output
* Handling Machine Shop Drawings on Thursdays
Re-works
* Actioning rework notifications according to system requirements (excluding Fibre)
* Ensuring stock is allocated correctly to production orders
* Printing rework production orders promptly for batch allocation
* Raising issues with the value stream planner if unable to action rework due to routing, stock, or quality issues
Job Responsibilities Continued
Scrap Replacements
* Completing daily scrap replacements required by assembly areas (excluding Fibre)
* Owning each value stream's KS area, ensuring assembly is informed of missing parts or de-kitting and returning parts to stock
Label Printing
* Printing labels for all value streams upon production request (excluding Fibre)
RCNs & ECNs
* Completing and acting on change notifications for all departments (excluding Fibre)
* Updating master data to reflect new routings/BOMs after RCN/ECN
* Cancelling production orders as required by RCN/ECN
* Supporting exception management for the planning team
* Creating deliveries for parts entering stock if not set for auto-delivery
What your background should look like:
* Confidence in working with computer software, including Excel
* Experience with SAP is desirable
* A positive, proactive approach, eager to solve problems and support smooth business operations
