In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations across designated areas, ensuring seamless functionality and full compliance with established procedures. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving operational excellence and aligning team performance with the company's strategic goals. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES As the operations manager, your responsibilities include overseeing stock maintenance, productivity, and facilities within your designated area. Proactively address any issues that arise to ensure smooth operation. Monitor and coordinate all costs effectively within the group. When necessary, provide advice on potential cost variances or additional costs required to support service delivery while adhering to the agreed budget. Govern operational and general business SOR's/ KPI's, ensuring that they are met and improved upon through the effective management of the operation/ operational resources in the group. Establish and maintain efficient and effective planning processes. These processes should be primarily proactive, ensuring timely communication of operational requirements and changes. Align this communication with the strategic direction of the organisation. Oversee the annual Personal Performance Review (PPR) of direct reports, manage succession planning, and foster overall personal development. YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES Proven expertise in logistics management within a large, fast-paced environment. Solid experience with warehouse systems. Leadership prowess, including the ability to inspire and motivate. Experience in financial and strategic management, coupled with commercial awareness. In-depth knowledge of Health & Safety regulations in the workplace. Experience in achieving agreed-upon targets. Familiarity with dangerous goods regulations (IATA/ADR/IMDG).
