We are looking for an experienced, dynamic, results driven Area Sales Manager with a naturally consultative, solutions-based approach to join our sales team. Joining the world's leading electric golf trolley brand with an extensive distribution network across the UK and selling in over 50 countries worldwide, the successful Area Sales Manager will have a passion for sport, in particular golf, alongside the ability to adapt and tailor their approach as necessary.
The ideal applicant will have previous experience of working in a regional field-based sales role with an understanding of the tenacity and resilience that is required to achieve and exceed sales and customer satisfaction targets. Applications for this highly desirable role are particularly welcome from individuals with a successful track record gained from within the sporting goods or FMCG industries.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and develop a territory of golf retail customers across various channels
* Drive sales growth in line with Company's goals across the full product portfolio
* Maximise brand and product distribution within your territory
* Develop an efficient and effective call cycle, ensuring all customer satisfaction measures are always exceeded
* To understand the strategic trading needs of each customer through consultative selling to ensure maximum sell through of our products
* Develop and execute joint business plans across your customer base
* Execute marketing plans in line with Company strategy
* Carry out extensive product training to ensure our brand is represented to the highest level
* Ensure close working relationships are developed with key internal functions
Skills & Experience:
* Experienced in B2B territory sales management of premium branded goods
* Commercially minded with a proven track record of sales and target achievement
* A confident, driven self-starter with exceptional organisational and planning skills
* Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with ability to communicate at all levels of business
* Ability to analyse and interpret data to formulate effective business plans
* Proven ability to work alone but also be an effective team player
* Sales experience in the golf industry desirable, but certainly a keen interest in the sport is essential
* Live on territory and comfortable with extensive driving – full valid UK driving license required
* Sports/golf brand experience preferred but not essential.
