Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant – Worthing
Location: Worthing, West Sussex
Position: Full-time, Term-time only
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a mainstream primary school in Worthing. This full-time role involves providing 1:1 support to students with additional needs, helping them thrive in a mainstream classroom setting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 support for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them to access the curriculum and engage with learning
* Assist in the delivery of individual learning plans and strategies tailored to each student’s needs
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel supported and valued
* Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to monitor and track student progress
* Support students with both academic tasks and social/emotional development
* Encourage and motivate students to build their confidence and independence
* Help manage behaviour and ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times
* Location – Worthing
* Position – Teaching Assistant (SEN)

Experience, Training and Qualifications
* GCSE’s or equivalent
* Minimum 1 year working with children
* Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
* Hold Right to Work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
* Provide two professional child related references
