Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts and a proven track record of managing kitchen operations in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing food production, ensuring high standards of food safety, and delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and manage kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment
* Oversee all aspects of food preparation and cooking, ensuring quality and consistency
* Develop and design innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends
* Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with regulations
* Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food presentation, and safety practices
* Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
* Monitor kitchen performance and implement improvements as necessary
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry
* Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team
* Extensive knowledge of food production techniques and culinary practices
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food preparation and presentation
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
* Previous experience in restaurant management is highly desirable
* Strong leadership qualities with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* A passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences for guests
This is a full time position - 5 days per week 6am - 4pm including weekends No split shifts or evenings
Salary negotiable depending on experience.
