A leading, inclusive, and academically ambitious secondary school in Taunton is seeking an experienced SENCO to oversee and develop its outstanding SEND provision. About the Role
This is a full-time, permanent leadership position within the school, offering the chance to shape SEND strategy, manage provision across all key stages, and lead a dedicated team of support staff and teaching assistants.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the implementation and evaluation of the school’s SEND strategy
• Coordinate and review Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs)
• Train and mentor classroom staff on adaptive teaching and inclusion
• Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure consistent support
• Monitor and report on progress and intervention outcomes

• Dedicated SEND hub with breakout rooms and sensory spaces
• Access to advanced assistive technologies for learning support
• Collaboration with local therapists, educational psychologists, and SEND networks
• Strong pastoral and safeguarding team support

Experience and Qualifications:
