Lead Security Strategy for a National Defence Programme

The Role
As a Security Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. This is a high-impact role where your leadership will drive strategic security decisions and foster a culture of safety and resilience.
Day-to-day, you’ll be the Head of Security for our SATCOM Program, delivering high-level governance across physical, personal, technological, and information security. You’ll work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including senior customers, to implement and manage security measures that mitigate risks and protect Babcock and customer assets.
1. In-depth knowledge of GovS, JSP, JSP, JSP, and ISO
2. Practical understanding of GDPR compliance and data protection
3. Strong background in security risk management and mitigation techniques
4. Experience designing NPSA-compliant solutions using OR model and STaMP process
5. Proven leadership in defence or government security environments
This role is full time 37, hours per week requires and will require regular travel across a range of internal and customer sites on a weekly / monthly basis alongside home working arrangements.

Qualifications for the Security Manager Mission Systems
11. Degree-level qualification or equivalent commercial experience in a related subject
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance for this role.
