Caithness & Sutherland Women’s Aid (CASWA) Domestic Abuse Specialists x 2 (Salary £24,484 FTE)
Post 1 – Women’s Service - 28 hours per week - Thurso Based – Salary £19,587
Post 2 – Children and Young People’s Service – 21 hours per week – ideally Dornoch Based (applicants wishing to be based in Thurso will also be considered) – Salary £14,690
Two opportunities have become available within the Children and Young People and Women’s Team at CASWA. We are looking for two hard-working, dedicated and enthusiastic professionals to join our team. Key responsibilities will include working directly with women or children and young people who have experienced domestic abuse in a one-to-one setting, providing person-centred and led support. Applicants should possess excellent communication skills, be self-motivated and flexible and have proven experience of supporting individuals in a similar environment. The post requires applicants to be SVQ qualified in Health and Social Care or equivalent (or be willing to work towards this qualification). Applicants should have an understanding of domestic abuse and violence against women. In addition, applicants should demonstrate a willingness to participate in the awareness raising work of the service.
Additional Role Requirements: - Driving license and transport
Post subject to PVG Enhanced Disclosure checks
The successful candidates will be required to support women or children and young people throughout Caithness and Sutherland and will be office based in one of our offices, with the opportunity to work flexibly, as agreed with Line Manager.
