Applicants are invited for the post of Safeguarding Officer based within Cumberland BCU.
This is an exciting opportunity to join Cumberland safeguarding Team, working closely with the Detective Sergeants within the team. The safeguarding officer researches and prepares all the relevant information for the meetings attended by the Detective Sergeant. Safeguarding officer will need to work as part of a team, take ownership for their own work and be flexible in dealing with the demands of a busy office.
1. Monitoring the safeguarding Team email inbox
2. Managing the safeguarding team dairy
3. Recording crimes and safeguarding reports following meetings
4. Collate figures for monthly performance meetings
5. Preparing reports for Child Case Conferences
6. Carry out other duties consistent with the role and support other areas during periods of sickness and leave
Key skills are good at organising and administrative duties associated with the efficient operation of the Cumberland safeguarding team.
It’s essential that the candidate understands safeguarding and maintains confidentiality, data quality and data security. They should also be able to use Microsoft Applications such as outlook, Excel and Word.
