Welcome to Future Schools Trust. Our Trust comprises two secondary schools, one primary school, and one nursery in the Maidstone and Malling area of Kent. We seek a Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the Facilities Manager at Cornwallis Academy, New Line Learning Academy, and Tiger Primary School. Responsibilities include maintenance, cleanliness, and security of the buildings and grounds.
Our core operations run Monday to Friday, 6 am to 10 pm, with additional lettings at weekends. We offer flexibility for full-time, part-time, casual, or occasional work, tailored to your availability.
Key responsibilities include:
* Regular maintenance to ensure the site remains clean and accessible
* Unlocking premises before the school day and securing them afterward
* Performing day-to-day repairs and maintenance
* Participating in the alarm callout rota, requiring access to a vehicle if essential
* Assisting with events and general school operations
* Coordinating external contractors for maintenance tasks beyond in-house capabilities
You should be proactive, responsible, and committed to ensuring smooth school operations. Excellent customer service, health and safety awareness, and basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and DIY are desirable qualities.
