Overview
Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design, development and packaging of mechanical systems and components for advanced industrial equipment.
This role is ideal for an engineer with strong experience in SolidWorks, sheet metal design and mechanical assemblies, looking to work in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary engineering environment.
You will work closely with electrical, systems and software engineering teams to deliver innovative, robust and cost-effective mechanical design solutions for global applications.
Key Responsibilities
1. Translate customer requirements into detailed mechanical specifications and design solutions
2. Create 3D CAD models and assemblies using SolidWorks, with a focus on sheet metal and fabricated structures
3. Design and develop mechanical enclosures, housings and industrial assemblies
4. Structure and manage CAD data using PDM systems
5. Select materials and components based on performance, cost, manufacturability and compliance with standards
6. Collaborate with electrical and systems engineers to ensure designs are fully integrated and feasible
