Inclusion and Wellbeing Leader (Part-Time, Term Time Only)

Location:Ilford, Essex
Hours:19.5 hours per week (Term Time Only)
Salary:£53,733 - £60,267 (pro-rata to hours)
Start Date:January 2026

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicatedInclusion and Wellbeing Leaderto join a thriving primary school in Ilford, rated 'Good' by Ofsted. This pivotal role combines leadership inSEND, safeguarding, and pupil wellbeing, ensuring all children—particularly the most vulnerable—achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead and manageSEND provision, including EHCP processes, IEPs, and collaboration with external agencies.
* Act asDesignated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), ensuring compliance with statutory guidance and fostering a culture of vigilance.
* Oversee pastoral support, mental health initiatives, and peer mentoring programmes.
* Monitor pupil progress, design interventions, and support teachers in adapting teaching for SEND and vulnerable pupils.
* Line manage Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) and contribute to staff CPD.
* Promote the school’s ethos, values, and vision through inclusive practices and community engagement.

Ideal Candidate:

* Qualified Teacher (QTS)with theNASENCO award(or working towards it).
* Minimum5 years’ teaching experience, including1+ year as SENDCOand2+ years as DSL.
* Strong knowledge of theSEND Code of Practice, safeguarding legislation, and mental health frameworks.
* Proven leadership skills: analytical, collaborative, and solutions-focused.
* Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and excellence in education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
