This Senior Buyer role sits in a team of 10 and reports into a Senior Trading Controller. It offers a broad scope - you'll lead category strategy, manage supplier relationships, and work cross-functionally with pricing, finance, and supply chain to deliver real results. Responsibilities
* Lead category strategy across assigned ranges, driving performance and value.
* Manage supplier relationships, negotiations, and contract terms.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with pricing, finance, and supply chain to deliver results.
* Provide commercial insight and decision-making support to optimise category performance.
* Influence decisions and shape processes to improve category outcomes.
Qualifications
* Solid experience in retail or wholesale buying, ideally at Senior Buyer level or close to it.
* Fresh food knowledge is advantageous but not essential; attitude and commercial thinking count just as much.
