We are seeking an accomplished Development Manager – Associate Director to manage the identification, appraisal and delivery of development projects across the UK and Ireland, with opportunities to contribute to international work. This is a senior client-facing leadership role, suited to a commercially astute development professional with a strong track record of winning work, shaping strategy and leading teams to deliver outstanding outcomes.
You’ll Be Responsible For
* Setting and driving development management strategy for client accounts and commissions, identifying opportunities and defining the route to market.
* Managing the origination and conversion of new opportunities across residential, mixed‑use and select commercial sectors, including bids, proposals and client presentations.
* Owning and assuring development appraisals, financial models and cashflow forecasts, providing clear recommendations to senior client stakeholders and investment committees.
* Providing leadership across due diligence, acquisition, funding and delivery strategies, ensuring robust governance, risk management and decision‑making throughout.
* Directing commercial performance (budgets, cost plans, procurement approach and reporting) across a portfolio of projects, intervening as needed to protect outcomes.
* Directing multi‑disciplinary teams and senior stakeholders across design, planning, construction and operations; mentoring colleagues and contributing to capability building within the development management team.
You’ll Need To Have
* Development management experience leading client‑side or consultancy commissions and accounts.
* Advanced commercial and financial expertise in development appraisals and Excel modelling for senior stakeholders.
* Strong UK residential and mixed‑use market knowledge, London focused, broader sector or international experience.
* Professional qualification (e.g. RICS or similar) desirable; a relevant degree and evidence of continuing professional development expected.
