Job Description:
The Growth Company's (GC) Justice Services has an exciting opportunity for a Support Assistant (Hub Guide) within our Creating Future Opportunities (CFO) Evolution Programme.
The role involves supporting CFO Evolution Support Workers in Community Activity Hubs, helping individuals gain meaningful employment and overcoming barriers such as disabilities, mental health issues, and benefit challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as the main contact at the hub for participants, assisting with access and use of facilities, and providing a welcoming environment.
* Resolve access issues promptly to minimize dissatisfaction.
* Manage queries and problems raised by participants regarding hub facilities.
* Be knowledgeable about hub content and partner-supported interventions.
* Escalate issues to support workers and the Hub Manager when necessary.
* Coordinate referrals and handle day-to-day office responsibilities, including post, room bookings, paperwork, diary management, and minute-taking.
* Complete tasks assigned by the Hub Manager and Team Lead, such as certification chasing.
* Maintain accurate records of participant interactions using systems like CATs+.
* Manage petty cash, participant payments, vouchers, BACS payments, invoices, and credit card checks per finance procedures.
* Build strong relationships with colleagues, participants, and external organizations.
* Monitor workshop feedback and other related tasks.
About You:
* Experience working with participants facing multiple barriers to employment, training, or education is advantageous.
* Strong customer service, organizational, and IT skills.
* Proficiency with computer systems, spreadsheets, email, and diary management.
* Flexible approach to work, including occasional unsociable hours.
* Ability to take accurate minutes during meetings.
Skills Required:
* Ability to be a welcoming, friendly, and supportive point of contact for participants.
* Ability to work towards targets and KPIs.
* Work effectively under pressure in a performance-driven environment.
* Excellent interpersonal skills for professional participant engagement.
* Teamwork and willingness to undertake training.
